Project #1
Footprint Introduction
- This project was a lot of fun to do. It really shows off who I am. While doing this project, it brought back all kinds of memories that I had from my youth. I am a horse-aholic. I love barrel racing, pole bending, and really anything to do with horses. In high school, I played volleyball and basketball, and participated in track. In doing so, I am also getting endorsements in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. I also love the outdoors and hunting/fishing. Camping is definitely part of my summer to do list every year.
- Footprint Introduction project is fun and easy for any age to enjoy. All you need is a piece of construction paper and a pencil to begin. You can also have partners. You or your partner can trace your foot on the paper, then you cut it out. After you have it cut out, you then draw pictures of who you are on it. Be creative and have fun with this project. After the students have finished this project they will use it to introduce themselves.
- Extension Activity - Another idea for getting to know each other is it host partner interviews. For partner interviews, you will pair up students with each other. The first student will ask a series of questions, like an interview, to his/her partner. For each answer, the student will draw a picture. After all the questions are asked, their partner then gets to ask the questions. Just like the first student, the partner will then draw the answers. After both students are done with the questions, they will introduce their partner to the class. This can be integrated with history. After this project, they will then choose a famous person from our past. Once they have chosen their person, they will draw a picture for each answer like they have done before with their partner. Once the project is due, the students will then be required to present their picture to the class and introduce their person from the past.
